  • The term “inkings” goes back to the early 1800s and has a long history with printing and art. In the 20th century, inking was the action of putting ink over pencil to preserve comic book art. While the term has evolved to refer to tattooing, Sean uses a more historical approach by first drawing with pencil, using India ink, then drawing in details with a fine-point, black pen.

  • Absolutely the f*ck not! Everything sold on this site or in person has been completely crafted by Sean.

The only part that is not done by Sean is the printing and delivering of prints.

  • I would first suggest browsing the shop and seeing if the piece that you are looking for is currently available. Sean sometimes takes pieces down or retires them.

If you find the piece that you are looking for, then just choose what size print you’d like, and add it to your cart.

From there, it should be self-explanatory!

There are sometimes opportunities to purchase prints and other items in person at local events. Check out and follow Inkings social media for more information about in person events and shows.

  • Sean does!!

Please use the contact form at the bottom of this page to submit any commission requests. Sean reviews each request and will determine availability. Price of the piece will be decided by size and expected work needed. Before a commission can be added to the calendar, a deposit will be requested and work will begin after the deposit has been processed. All other details on commission will be shared when Sean responds to requests he plans to take on.

  • That seems more like a statement, but I think I understand the question.

We, unfortunately, do not conduct returns, exchanges, or refunds. All sales are final.

  • There are a couple reasons for that.

    1. All previews of art on the website have a watermark on them. This is to protect art from being stolen or redistributed by others than Sean. Prints do not have this watermark on them.

    2. All art is scanned at a local print shop, then the files is converted to best color-match to the original piece.

    3. The image displayed on the website may be distorted by your phone or computer display. The print you receive is going to be the most accurate other than buying the original piece of art itself.

  • Sean personally packages all items in a plastic sleeve along with cardboard to aid with bend protection. He then uses a shipping envelope with a bubbled interior to enhance protection. All shipping envelopes are marked with “Do Not Bend” and the carrier is informed of fragile items.
