Artist n’ Inkings

I’m Sean, and I do art!
The actual activity of art has changed over the years for me - from the use of graphite to paint, fiber to ink - I find joy in creating pieces based off beloved characters and creations of my own mind.
The term “inkings” goes back to the early 1800s and has a long history with printing and art. In the 20th century, inking was the action of putting ink over pencil to preserve comic book art. While the term has evolved to refer to tattooing, I use a more historical approach by first drawing with pencil, using India ink, then drawing in my details with a fine-point, black pen.
While most of the art you will find on this site falls within my “Inkings” collection, I do enjoy experimenting and trying other mediums. Some of these pieces can also be seen and purchased throughout the site as well.
